Fall is in the Air

You can definitely feel it...
...it's getting a little colder, the days are getting shorter, and even some trees are starting to turn colors! Fall is definitely in the air, even if it is still technically summer. Fall is probably my favorite season. The crisp air reminds me of football games, marching band competitions, and raking leaves. The campus looks really great in the fall too. When I was walking through the quad this afternoon, I could see some of the trees on campus starting to lose their green leaves. Soon it will be winter and we'll be wishing it was summer again, but for now, I'm going to enjoy the fall weather.

Full-steam ahead!
Classes have shifted into high gear and I'm finding myself busy with projects, papers, and reading. Two of my classes this semester are video production classes so I'll be doing a lot of shooting and editing video this semester. I am looking forward to that. I think homework like that is way more exciting than reading chapters out of a textbook! UST got a lot of new video equipment for us to use this year and I'm super excited about using it...I just hope I don't break anything while I'm out in the field!

Looking ahead
Looking ahead to the rest of this week, I'll be getting together with some of my friends for "Taco Thursday". Each Thursday my group of friends and I have a taco night where we eat an insane amount of tacos and then do homework. This Thursday is the first one of the semester so it should be a good time. This weekend I'll be heading down to Waseca, MN to watch my little bro compete with his high school in marching band. That is always a lot of fun. I was in marching band for six years and he's been in it for the last five. It's something that runs heavy in our family, plus my high school is pretty darn good if I do say so myself!

Have a good week!
