THE HUNT IS ON!
Heritage Week 2008
It's Heritage Week here at UST, and the highlight of the week is the St. Thomas Medallion Hunt! Every night at midnight a new clue comes out to students, faculty, and staff through our campus bulletin. Students run from the library with clues in hand in search of the two inch paper weight worth $300 to the bookstore. It may not sound like a lot, but it is A LOT of fun! This year the hunt has been really hard, and tonight is the last clue meaning that it will be really easy and will basically say where it is. It is going to be a race to the finish! My friend Bridget and I go out hunting for it each night at midnight. I may sacrifice some sleep, but the excitement is too much! You can check out the clues up to last night by clicking here.
Res Life Event in the Books
Tonight was the Residence Life Event. Over 800 prospective students and families came to campus to check out our residence (res) halls. I gave two tours to groups of guys and their parents who were interested in living on campus next year. It was fun, and hopefully they got some of their questions answered about living on campus.
SPRING BREAK....almost
We only have one more week of class and then it is spring break! It is hard to believe that this semester is already half over! Wow! It's weird I guess because I really haven't had too many assignments or papers due. My classes this semester are pretty 'back ended' meaning the bulk of the grading is in the second half of the semester...which makes life just peachy because you have so much stuff due at the same time. Ahhh...college.
Well it's getting closer to midnight and I need to strategize about where the medallion is! I'll let you know how it turns out. Have a great weekend!

Hey Shane, my name's Pat. I was just checking out the UST website and stumbled upon this little blog situation you have yourself. Pretty entertaining. It's cool, because I am looking into getting involved with some of the stuff that you are in (i.e Broadcast Journalism and Scope, etc.) Anywho, just thought I'd say hey. Do you want to give me any more info about scope? You can shoot me an e-mail if you want, if you get a chance. Or you can put it here. It really doesn't matter.
Anywho, hope things are well. Thanks man.
