Multicultural Forum - March 3-4, 2009

“Diversity’s Challenge: Achieving True Inclusion” is the theme of the 21st annual Multicultural Forum on Workplace Diversity to be held at the St. Paul RiverCentre March 3 and 4, 2009. Co-hosted by the UST Opus College of Business and the Twin Cities chapter of the National Black MBA Association, the Forum is presented by General Mills along with support from more than 60 other companies and organizations.

As the globe continues to shrink and the economic woes continue to mount, the necessity to include diverse ideas and faces in all facets of business becomes an even greater business imperative. For 20 years, the Multicultural Forum on Workplace Diversity has provided training, networking and inspiration to support that imperative. Anyone who manages, works with or markets to a diverse clientele (is anyone not included?) is encouraged to attend and learn. Ken Powell, chairman and CEO of General Mills, Dr. Nat Irvin, a diversity and inclusion futurist from the University of Louisville, and Luke Visconti, partner and co-founder of DiversityInc, will deliver keynote presentations amidst the 60 workshops and 14 professional development institutes spread over the two days. A professional Career Fair and Resource Fair will also be offered on March 4.

For more information or to register, visit the Forum website at www.stthomas.edu/mcf or contact the Forum Director, Steve Humerickhouse at (651) 962-4018.
