Elective Track Info Sessions – February 23-26 and March 2-5
Selecting elective courses is a critical component of your UST MBA coursework. In order to facilitate course planning, Elective Track Information Sessions will be offered for Full-time and Evening UST MBA students February 23 - 26 and March 2 - 5. The Entrepreneurship, Accounting, Grad Programs in Software, Decision Sciences, Finance, Marketing, Management and Economics departments will present information about their courses from 5-5:45 pm on one day during those two weeks. Department chairs or senior faculty will tell you about the electives offered in their departments. In addition, they will tell you about potential career options and what courses might be helpful to students interested in those careers. Final information about which department will present on which night will be forthcoming. Be sure to check your UST email.
As a student, you don’t necessarily take all your electives in one subject area. You choose your electives by determining your career goals and identifying the gaps in your current background and skills. You can then choose courses that will complement your work and educational backgrounds to prepare for your future career. In light of this, information will be provided about why someone in an elective track in one area might benefit from taking a course or two in another area. For example, how would someone in marketing benefit from entrepreneurship classes?
Finally, there will be time for your questions. We look forward to seeing you during those two weeks!
