Current Women Leaders Sought for Research Study that Focuses on Women, Career and Family
The purpose of the study is to describe and fully understand the experience of stay-at-home mothers who have transitioned from and to professional leadership roles. The study will be significant in that it will shed light on the career transition experiences of women leaders, who are also mothers, and their application of both professional knowledge and parenting skills.
To qualify for the study, participants must meet the following criteria:
1. Worked in a leadership position or role for at least 1 ½ years prior to taking a career break
2. Stepped out of the workforce for at least 2 years to care for a child
3. Returned to work
4. Currently serve in a leadership position or role that they have had for at least 1 ½ years.
Leadership is defined as an individual influencing a group to achieve a common goal. Examples of leaders could be managers, executives, teachers, religious leaders, coaches or doctors. Participation in the study is completely voluntary. There is no financial benefit. Information that is collected as part of the study will be confidential and will be used in a manner that protects the privacy and identity of the participants.
